Taylor Zebrosky, LPC, LCDDC-I, NCC, EMDR-Trained | Highland Village Counseling Co-Founder, Highland Village, TX
I believe in the healing and restoration of relationships, our relationships with ourselves and the relationships with those with whom we love. I came into this field with a passion for helping others with wounds from ruptured attachments, those with childhood trauma, and those with struggles in the ability to regulate intense emotion. I believe that each individual can live a life worth living and enjoying. My practice is to gently walk alongside the client in their journey, equipping with skills to live in a functional role in life. I believe that in the journey of healing our wounds, we are able to grow and thrive as authentic individuals who then become healthy parents, partners, and friends.

I received my Masters in Counseling at the University of North Texas. I have gained experience in a variety of clinical settings including: running counseling groups in a psychiatric hospital, and as primary therapist and case manager for a residential treatment center for addiction and trauma. I have been in private practice since 2014.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am EMDR - trained, DBT- trained, and PIT-trained (The Meadow’s Model). I specialize in attachment and adoption issues, childhood and relational trauma, DBT skills, and addiction issues (both chemical and process).

I have over 12 years experience working to counsel individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with the challenges of trauma, addiction, mental health disorders, and other compulsive behaviors. I provide my clients with a safe emotional space with unconditional support and acceptance, built upon the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and member of the American Counseling Association. I  received a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Amberton. I also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Texas State University.

I was an accountant for 6 ½ years. I enjoyed my time in that career but felt I was missing something, my true purpose in life. I found a piece of my life’s destiny in becoming an educator. I taught middle school science and Texas history for 13 years in Frisco ISD. I was named Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year! In that time, I discovered my true passion which is to help adolescents with mental health. I feel like my life’s journey has given me the tools to truly listen to teens and understand their problems. I would like to help adolescents and young adults existentially explore who they are and, together, develop a plan to help them feel more authentic and whole.

Personally, I have a wonderful wife and two children. We love to travel across the United States in our pop-up camper. I am passionate about music and love to play golf.

Do you have everything you've ever wanted but still feel like something is missing? As a woman, you may have achieved your dream life, but that nagging sense of unhappiness persists, leaving you questioning if something is inherently wrong. Perhaps you've buried the echoes of past traumas, thinking they should no longer impact your present. Maybe your relationships feel strained, but you can't quite figure out why. If you're ready to delve into the core of your discontent, I'm here to guide you.

As a LPC-Associate, I am focused on helping clients identify and achieve their goals. Combining personal life experience and clinical training I am equipped to counsel adults, couples, and groups.

I specialize in adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, new parents, and members of the LBGTQ+ community. I believe the relationship between a counselor and client works best when it feels empowering, safe, and non-judgmental. In the counseling process, I can offer tools and support to help clients own their own stories and build resilience. I am EMDR trained.

I believe in understanding and approaching clients as whole beings rather than one isolated aspect of who they are. You are not just your trauma, depression, anxiety, or experiences, but those things certainly give context to who you are and your path to healing.

I have a diverse background working with various populations, and I strive to partner with my clients to make therapy as positive, comfortable, and productive as possible. I specialize in working with teens and adults who have a history of trauma and PTSD. I also work with clients who have eating disorders, military backgrounds, faith-based backgrounds, religious trauma, unhealthy relationship dynamics, personality disorders, and those walking through grief and other life change. In our sessions, you will find a safe environment to heal, discover, and process.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I know from experience how challenging it can be to reach out and seek help, but I've also seen that it is well worth it. I want to help you get to the root of what is going on, and  my hope is that you come through therapy having gained the tools, insight, and understanding to navigate life with more freedom and hope.

Jesse Gill, LMSW

As a licensed social worker and clinician, I have always believed that meeting my clients where they are at and working to understand life through their eyes is a necessity to fulfilling my role and providing the best care that I can. Understanding that every walk of life and lived experience makes us unique also helps us understand that the way we work through our struggles in life can be equally individual and unique as well.

Earning my MSW from Fordham University in NYC, I began my career working a mix of organizational and advocacy roles ranging from the resource advocacy, education, and administration. Throughout this, I have always maintained a clinical role with practicing at a psychoanalytic institute in Manhattan as well as running different intensive group therapy programs in the Dallas area with children and adults. Currently, I split my time between running an adult PHP/IOP trauma group and seeing individuals in private practice with a focus on trauma, as well as depression, anxiety, grief, OCD, and bipolar.

I approach my practice through a humanistic and often existential lens with a major focus being on understanding my clients’ lived experiences and providing a safe and accepting space to be vulnerable. I have received training from the Arizona Trauma Institute as well as specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

EVERYKIDS YOGA

Judy Wimmer | Highland Village Counseling, Highland Village, TX
My name is Judy Wimmer. I am a certified Yoga instructor with specialized training and eight years experience in Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy (TIYT), and teaching Yoga to children with special needs (Every Kids Yoga). I offer private instruction and small group classes for those seeking the benefits of self-regulation and stress-reduction that this particular type of Yoga can offer.

My clients are usually referred to me by a therapist who feels that this particular modality can be a helpful adjunct to talk therapy. Each person’s history and healing journey are unique. My approach is to honor them where they are, and to create a safe space in which to explore how Yoga, mindfulness and meditation can help them as they heal.
I asked a client if they would like to share about their experience. This is what they said: “Judy takes a personalized, healing approach to her clients’ individual needs. Her calm, nurturing demeanor creates a safe space to explore the mind body connection through Yoga. Sessions with Judy inspire courage, build confidence, and create an inner peace that lasts.” SR

If you feel that there is a client who can benefit from this modality, or if you are just curious about this process, I would  love the opportunity to connect and discuss this further.
