Grief & Loss

Grief & Loss

Losing someone you love is one of the most life-altering experiences a person can go through. Everyone grieves differently, on their own time and in their own way. Sharing your story and having someone to be in that space with you, listening without judgment, and providing coping tools is necessary to living with loss and finding hope for your future.

When loss occurs:
  • The feelings of shock, guilt, confusion, shame, anxiety or anger can be more intense and last longer than expected.
  • People may not know how to react or what to do with grief and may say hurtful things or detach.
  • You may not want to be a burden on others so you push away.
  • You may feel that others won’t or can’t understand what you are going through
  • There are times when you can get stuck in the process of learning to live with the loss
  • If you have experienced multiple losses or traumatic loss, such as suicide, sudden or violent death, it could impact your ability to function on a daily basis.
Any of these can lead to isolation and no one should have to go through this painful journey alone. We can help walk with you through every step of the journey, learning to live with the loss and find hope for your future.
